HYTE Y50 RGB Case Overview

The HYTE Y50 RGB will come in 5 different colorways at launch. We received the Snow White version, but it will also be available in Pitch Black, Black Cherry, Taro Milk, and Strawberry Milk. When it comes to size I would call this a pretty standard-sized mid-tower. The official dimensions are 473mm x 288mm x 461mm (LxWxH).

Starting at the front of the case we have our first of three panels. The panel will give you a straight look into your system. If you are wondering the panels on this case are completely clear and are not tinted.

The next panel is going to be your 45-degree panel, which actually connects the front and side panels. HYTE of course launched their Y-series with this unique 3-panel design and it has been a hit ever since! Sitting below this panel are going to be your buttons and connections which include a combination headphone / microphone jack, two USB 3.2 gen 1 Type-A ports, a large power button, and a USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C port.

Our last tempered glass panel is going to be our side panel, which is going to allow you to completely show off your build. The opposite side panel is a steel panel, but there is ventilation on most of it for your side-mount cooling as well as your power supply. HYTE is calling this ventilation their 3D textured micro mesh, which not only acts as ventilation, but also a filter.

Moving up to the top of the case the top panel is fully ventilated with the same 3D textured micro mesh that we saw on the back side panel. This panel easily comes off to reveal a cooling bracket, which supports 3 120mm fans, or two 140mm fans, or radiators up to 410mm long and 46mm thick.

The back of the case shows us that we do have a dual-compartment design. On one side we have our motherboard mount, and a cooling mount (with a 120mm fan pre-installed). On the other side is going to be your power supply mount. Unlike previous Y-series cases here we have full-size graphics card support. The expansion slot covers feature a louvered blade design which reduces exhaust impedance, increasing the amount of hot air that exits the case.

Looking at the bottom of the case we find a removable filter. With it removed we can see there is a cooling mount, which does support two 120mm fans up to 32mm thick.
