Lander Desk Assembly
I was actually quite surprised when iMoVR told me that the Lander Desk can be assembled without any tools to all! Assembly was definitely a pain with the VertDesk V3 so I was quite excited about a tool-less assembly process. iMovR also includes a very nice assembly guide with color photos of the assembly process, so there will be no guessing games when it comes to assembly.
iMovR says to put the desktop on a blanket or soft surface, but you can actually leave it in the box it came in just like you see in the photo above. Looking at the bottom of the desktop there are some things I noticed. First the power and control box as well as the angle brackets are already installed on the desk. With the other desks we’ve reviewed you had to install these on your own.
So to start assembly find the two legs. Take them and place them into the base like you see in the photo below. Be sure they are going the right direction. Once placed into the base be sure to attach the motor cables from the power supply to the motor on the base.
Obviously the legs are not locked in place. To do this find the clamps and place them over the motors on the legs as shown below. Find the two locks and put them inside the clamps as shown. Finally lock them into place by pressing down on them with your foot. You will hear a clicking sound once they lock into place.
Now your desk should look like the first photo below. It is time to flip it over. When you flip it over be careful to not roll it over onto the edge with the controller on it. iMovR recommends two people to flip the desk over, but I was able to flip it over by myself. As you can see the protective film is still on the desk.
The last thing you’ll want to do is connect the power supply to an open power outlet. Out of the three sit-stand desks I’ve had the chance to build this one definitely was the easiest.
