iMovR Lander Desk Review

Final Thoughts
So I’ve been using the Lander Desk for about a month now and I’ve really been enjoying it. I actually have a sit-stand desk at home so not having one at the office a real bummer. So when I was at the office I would be sitting all day and feel quite tired as the day went on. Now with the Lander Desk I sit for part of the day and stand for the other part. This not only is more healthy, but it just makes you feel good as you are actively doing something to help your body.

Now this is the case with any sit-stand desk, so what makes the Lander stand out? The first thing that really stood out to me was the build quality. The desktop is thicker and more sturdy than the other desks I’ve reviewed in the past. Also the ergo-contour and 3D lamination process is quite impressive, I really haven’t seen anything like this before. This process not only looks better than standard lamination it actually protects the desktop more too. The rest of the components of the desk are high-quality too, there was not any part of the desk that felt cheap.

One of the biggest things that sets the Lander apart from other sit-stand desks is that it can be assembled completely without any tools. I was actually surprised when iMovR told me this, but going through the installation process couldn’t be easier. I was able to assemble the entire desk myself in less than 20 minutes!

There is also an app that can help you control your desk. The app is extremely easy to get setup and has some pretty cool features as well. My favorite is the “Goals” where you can set how long you want to stand for in a certain period of time and the app will remind you to stand. Just like working out it is easy to become lazy, but if you have someone there pushing you (or in our case reminding us) it makes things much easier as well as making you accountable.

At the end of the day this is by far the best sit-stand desk that I’ve had the chance to use. While the others I’ve used were good, this sets the bar so much higher. This is not only in terms of quality, but ease of installation, the app, and just general usage. Now with that you are going to pay a premium, the Lander starts at $999 and our configured desk with the standing mat was $1,453.95. Overall ThinkComputers gives the iMovR Lander Desk a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
