When you take a first look at the D-Frame Mini you can tell it is not your typical PC case. The best way I can describe it is sort of like a roll cage that has been formed into a PC case. The roll cage structure is made of heavy aluminum which is hand welded and appears to be powder-coated. The case has official dimensions of 405 x 230 x 501mm and weighs in at about 11.57 lbs.

Moving to the front of the case you can really see the roll cage design. There is no door or anything like that on the front of the case. This case is designed to be an “open-air” case so it is pretty open. Another things you will notice is there is no room for external drives.

Also on the front of the case there is a small panel that has your power and reset buttons, two USB 3.0 ports, audio connections and hard drive activity LED.

The side of the case is a very large and heavy tempered glass panel. The panel has a slight tint to it, but still will show off your installed hardware.

The the top of the case the roll cage is designed so there is a carrying handle. This allows you to move and carry the case without having to touch the glass side panels.

Towards the rear of the case is where you will find your power supply mounting. This mounting supports full-size power supplies with a length of up to 220mm. Your power supply can also be mounted on the top or bottom.

Finally taking a look at the backside of the case we can see it has the same tempered glass panel as the opposite side of the case.
