Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra series, known as “Arrow Lake-S,” will be the next generation of desktop processors with a new naming convention. The 200-series will offer 14 different models, though there are currently no Core Ultra 3 models included in the lineup, which may be introduced at a later time.
The flagship Core Ultra 9 285K model, is expected to include 8 high-performance Lion Cove cores and 16 energy-efficient Skymont cores, making it the most powerful option in the series. It’s reported to reach speeds of up to 5.7 GHz using Thermal Velocity Boost technology. These specifications apply to the 125W TDP version, but the model will also come in 65W (285 non-K) and 35W TDP (285T) variants. In these lower-power versions, the base clock speed will be significantly reduced: 2.5 GHz and 1.4 GHz, respectively, compared to the 3.7 GHz P-Core base clock in the 285K.
The Core Ultra 7 series is expected to include five models, including F and KF versions, which are models without integrated Arc Graphics. As reported by Benchlife, these processors will have 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores, totaling 20 cores. The boost clock speeds will vary between 5.3 GHz for the 265T model and 5.5 GHz for the 265K model.
One of the most intriguing updates is the addition of new Core Ultra 5 models, including the 245, 235, and 225. These models are reported to have 14 cores, 14 cores, and 10 cores, respectively. Intel is set to release the first Core Ultra 200 series processors on October 10th, likely starting with the K and KF variants. The non-K and T-Series models are expected to follow at a later date.
