Well that did not take long at all. Just the other day we were talking about rumors on two Intel Skylake processors and now the entire Skylake-S processor lineup has been leaked! These processors will power the next generation desktop platform which is based off the 100-series chipset. These processor and the 100-series chipset is expected to launch at IDF15 in San Francisco.
The Intel Skylake-S family is made up of 10 processors:
– Intel Core i7-6700K
– Intel Core i5-6600K
– Intel Core i7-6700
– Intel Core i5-6600
– Intel Core i5-6500
– Intel Core i5-6400
– Intel Core i7-6700T
– Intel Core i5-6600T
– Intel Core i5-6500T
– Intel Core i5-6400T
To give you a run-down on all of the details of each processor we have made an easy to read table for you.
So as you can see the Skylake-S family is made up of three different groups by TDP. The “Enthusiast” parts will operate at 65W and are made up of the Core i7-6700K and Core i7-6600K. Moving down to the “Mainstream” parts that will run at 65W we have the Core i7-6700, i5-6600, i5-6500, and i5-6400. Finally we have the “low power” or low TDP parts which are the Core i7-6700T, i5-6600T, i5-6500T and i5-6400T which will all run at 35W.
So which Skylake-S processor will you be getting?
