InWin A5 Case Review

InWin A5 Case Overview

Taking a first look at the A5 I was actually surprised at how small it really is. You could easily think this a micro-ATX case. The official dimensions of the case are 399 x 215 x 407 mm and it will come in both black and white versions. As you can see we received the black version of the case. One thing I noticed off the bat with this case is just how clean it is, nothing really flashy or anything like that.

Starting at the front of the case we have a pretty plain front panel and as you can see there is no ventilation. This of course is because the cooling design of this case is different than most. Towards the top of the front of the case we do have a a mirror-like InWin logo. There is also a full-length filter that pulls out from the front of the case.

Moving up to the top of the case we have a large ventilated section with your connections and buttons on the right side of the case. These include a large power button, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a combination headphone/microphone jack, and a USB-C port. The top section of the case can be removed, but you need to remove the main side panel to slide it off. Once removed we can see that the top of the case will support two 120 mm fans or radiators up to 240 mm.

The main side panel of the case is a tempered glass side panel, which does have a tint to it. At the top of the panel there is a notch that allows you to easily remove the panel. The opposite side panel is designed the same way, except it is a normal steel panel.

The rear of this case is a bit different than most too. Toward the top of the case you’ll find a power connection. This is again because the internal design of the case is different than most. Below that is your motherboard mount and a Mercury AM120S RGB fan. This is the only fan that comes with the case and this fan mount only supports 120 mm fans. Below the fan mount you have your expansion slots, there are a total of 7 so we could classify this as a mid-tower.
