iStorage DatAshur PRO2 Review

Over the past year we’ve taken a look at a couple of encrypted secure hard drives from iStorage including their massive 8TB diskashur DT2 and smaller 1TB diskAshur2. For those on the go who want their data to be secured iStorage has the DatAshur PRO2, which is a hardware-encrypted USB 3.2 gen 1 flash drive. Much like the other iStorage products we’ve taken a look at the DatAshur PRO2 uses a PIN pad to gain access to the drive. This drive is available in capacities ranging from 4GB all the way up to 512GB, and features military grade AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption that is FIPS PUB 197 validated, anodized and ruggedized extruded aluminium housing, epoxy coating on the actual hardware, and even a self-destruct feature which will erase all data on the drive when a certain PIN is entered. If you are looking for secure storage on the go this is definitely the drive for you.

Special thanks to iStorage for providing us with the DatAshur PRO2 to review.
