Lexar Hades RGB DDR4-3600 32GB Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts

It is good to see another company get into the gamer and enthusiast space when it comes to memory. It seems like everyone is making RGB memory these days, but the more there are the more competition there is, which typically always benefits the customer in terms of quality and pricing. Both the Hades and Hades RGB kits from Lexar are not much to write home about design-wise. You basically have a black heatspreader with a white diffuser towards the top for the RGB lighting.

The RGB lighting is good and can either be controlled with Lexar’s own software or your motherboard’s RGB software. So you can easily customize this lighting to what you would like or match it with the RGB lighting on your motherboard. But like I said it very similar to other RGB kits.

When it comes to performance with its XMP profile of 3600 MHz with timings of 18-22-22-42 at 1.35V the kit performed well, towards the top in many of our tests. It seemed this kit did not want to budge without loosening the timings when it came to overclocking. We were able to get a stable overclock of 4000 MHz with timings of 22-22-22-52.

When it comes to pricing the kit we took a look at today is selling for $209.99 at our favorite online retailer, which is a bit high I think, especially since Lexar is new in the space. I can easily find other 32GB 3600 MHz RGB memory from Corsair, TeamGroup, KLEVV, and Patriot for less. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Lexar Hades RGB DDR4-3600 32GB Memory Kit an 8 out of 10 score.
