According to reports Discord has ended acquisition talks with Microsoft after they rejected a $12 Billion bid according to those who are familiar with the matter. Microsoft was not the only company interested in acquiring Discord as Twitter was interested as well. Many valuations put Discord at a value of $15-18 Billion. Discord has raised $100 million in its latest private funding round with a valuation of $7 billion from Greenoaks Capital and Index Ventures.
It appears that Discord is now focused on increasing revenue from its 140 million users and they are also preparing for an initial public offering.
