MINISFORUM Unveils EliteMini X500 SFF PC With AMD Ryzen 7 5700G Zen 3 APU

MINISFORUM has announced its EliteMini X500, the latest SFF Mini PC with AMD’s Ryzen 7 5700G Desktop APU. It is the successor to the EliteMini X400, which featured AMD’s Renoir (Ryzen 4000G) APUs.

Before this, MINISFORUM released the EliteMini HX90 Mini PC with Ryzen 5000H CPUs. However, the X500 is a high-end model with desktop-grade Ryzen 5000G APUs.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the EliteMini X500 has an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G ‘Zen 3’ APU with a base clock speed of 3.8 GHz, a boost clock speed of up to 4.6 GHz. The chip also has a 16 MB L3 cache alongside 8 Vega Compute Units which account for 512 stream processors operating at 2000 MHz. The chip’s integrated graphics will take care of visual needs. It also supports DDR4-3200 memory speeds, but the company offers PCIe Gen 3.0 on the front I/O. The processor requires a TDP of up to 65W.

The processor is placed in a STX board which has an aluminum-finned heat sink solution that features a 120mm fan. A plastic-based clam-shell casing is used to house the hardware. It has several vents for the air’s exit. The casing I/O includes HDMI, 1 DP, 2 Gigabit Ethernet Ports, 4 USB 3.1 Gen 2, 1 Clear CMOS, 1 MIC In & a Power button. An extra slot 2.5-inch SSD/HDD bay is there for storage expansion. The complete PC weighs 980g and the following measurements: 62x154x153 mm (h*l*w).

The EliteMini X500 is expected to arrive on 21st November 2021 and will be offered in three variants. It will start from $859 US tag, which will get you the base variant (16 GB DDR4 +512 GB SSD) while the mid-range (32 GB DDR4 + 512 GB) will cost $959 US & the high-end variant (64 GB DDR4 and 512 GB SSD) will set you back by $1069 US.
