MSI has announced a free upgrade kit for Intel’s LGA1700 CPUs and their Coreliquid CPU coolers. There were no release dates in the press release but it had a google form link through which users apply for a free upgrade kit. It was stated in the form that the kit will be available on November 4th, which raised questions. Videocardz reached out to its sources who confirmed that Intel Alder Lake-S will launch on November 4th. This date is attached to the sales and review embargo.
Wccftech Usman Pirzada further told that Intel will start taking preorders a week before the Intel Innovation event. Following are the Intel Alder Lake-S embargoes.
October 27th: Announcement and preorders
November 4th: Sales and reviews (product launch)
Take note that the embargo date is for CPUs only and it is not known when the compatible motherboards will go on sale. However, there is a high probability that they will be already available or the Z690 motherboards have the same embargo date too.
It is expected that at least three SKUs will launch on November 4th: Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K. The KF-series with no integrated Xe graphics will be available on the same day.
