We recently took at look at the MXL Tempo microphone, and were quite impressed with its performance as a basic USB microphone. Today we are taking a look at another product offering from MXL, the APS Podcasting Bundle. And while the name implies use in podcasting, this setup can function quite nicely in a streaming setup as well. Comprised of a microphone, microphone stand, and an XLR-to-USB microphone adapter, the APS Podcasting Bundle is a great starter kit for those looking to get into podcasting, streaming, or advanced audio recording. Follow along as we take a look at each component of the bundle and see how they work together to form a great starter kit.
Special thanks to MXL for providing us with the APS Podcasting Bundle review sample!

Packaging
The APS Bundle ships in a large cardboard box that highlights the three major components within. Each item is shown and numbered on the front of the box, and a corresponding line of text accompanies each product in the list.
Inside the large outer box are the three separately boxed components of the bundle; the microphone, microphone stand, and XLR-to-USB adapter. Standard packing paper keeps things from shuffling around too much, but we wish things were a bit tighter to ensure safe travels.
