NVIDIA has introduced three new monitors featuring a new MediaTek chip that enhances image quality, motion clarity, and color accuracy while minimizing latency. This chip is compatible with the latest version of NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology, called G-Sync Pulsar. NVIDIA claims that G-Sync Pulsar provides four times better motion clarity and ensures a smooth, tear-free experience with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).

A major benefit of MediaTek’s new scaler chip is that it removes the necessity for extra G-Sync modules, much like AMD FreeSync and the open VRR standard. FreeSync monitors, which don’t require specialized modules, are more widely available compared to G-Sync monitors that do. By eliminating these modules, the new chip is expected to reduce costs and increase access to these technologies for gamers.

The newly announced monitors are the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR, Acer Predator XB273U F5, and AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG2. Each of these models boasts a 2560×1440 resolution, a 360Hz refresh rate, and HDR support. Although these are high-end options, there is anticipation that MediaTek’s scaler will eventually be available in more budget-friendly models.

NVIDIA has not yet announced specific release dates for these monitors, but they are expected to be available later this year. Delays in the launch of new monitors are common and can be caused by supply chain issues, final quality checks, or manufacturer schedules.
