Philips has introduced two new gaming monitors in its Evnia series, both equipped with QD-OLED panels. The first model, the Evnia 27M2N8500, has a 27-inch screen with a QHD resolution. The second, the Evnia 32M2N8900, features a 32-inch screen with 4K resolution. Both monitors are designed to deliver excellent visual quality and include ergonomic features for easy adjustments.
Each monitor offers an impressive color gamut, covering up to 98.5% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, 147.5% of sRGB, 120% of NTSC, and 118% of Adobe RGB, ensuring vibrant and lifelike images. The color accuracy is excellent, with a Delta E of less than 2 for sRGB. Additionally, the monitors provide a wide viewing angle of 178° both horizontally and vertically.
Philips Evnia 27M2N8500
The Philips Evnia 27M2N8500 is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a 2560x1440p resolution. It has slim bezels and supports a refresh rate of up to 360Hz, ensuring exceptionally smooth gameplay. The monitor also features DisplayHDR True Black 400 for enhanced detail and vividness. Thanks to its OLED panel, it offers an infinite contrast ratio, allowing it to display true blacks and highly accurate colors for rich, detailed visuals.
Philips Evnia 32M2N8900
The Philips Evnia 32M2N8900 shares the same design as the 27-inch model but offers a larger 31.5-inch screen for a more immersive experience. It features a flat QD-OLED panel with a 3840x2160p resolution, providing more detailed visuals. The monitor supports a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and includes DisplayHDR for enhanced brightness and contrast. Like the 27-inch version, it has an ultra-fast response time of just 0.03ms and supports Adaptive-Sync for smooth, tear-free gaming.
The Philips Evnia 27 and 32-inch monitors feature Dynamic Lighting technology, allowing users to sync the RGB lighting on the back of the monitor with the RGB lighting of other peripherals. Additionally, the monitors include Ambiglow Lighting, which can adjust according to the sound and video content, enhancing the immersive experience.
For connectivity, both monitors are equipped with the latest HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-B ports. They also include a USB hub with multiple USB upstream and downstream ports, as well as a fast-charging USB-C port that delivers up to 65W of power. The ergonomic stand allows users to adjust the height by up to 130mm, swivel between -20° and +20°, and tilt from -5° to 20°.
The Evnia 8000 series monitors come with a three-year warranty, which includes coverage for burn-in on the OLED and QD-OLED panels. The Evnia 27M2N8500 is priced at £649.99, while the 32M2N8900 will be available for £1,039.99. Philips plans to officially launch the 27-inch monitor in late September, with the 32-inch version set to go on sale in early October.
