NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU Spotted Featuring 7424 CUDA Cores

According to leaked info on Geekbench, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will feature 7424 CUDA cores. It seems that the flagship Ampere GPU for laptops has finally been verified in the same fresh leak over at Geekbench.

The entry lists Intel 12th Gen Core Alder Lake-S CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU. Various entries were unleashed; few used a generic driver name of “NVIDIA Graphics Device”. Reportedly, it is confirmed at this point that the SKU is to feature 58 Compute Units, which implies Streaming Multiprocessors, each possessing 128 CUDA cores.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU Specs

This suggests that the RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU would feature 7424 CUDA cores, however, 256 CUDAs were disabled for this variant by NVIDIA. Unlike desktop enthusiast GPUs, the laptop series is to possess a new GPU named GA103S. More of its features include fewer cores than GA102 and less memory bandwidth to 256-bit. According to another report by Kopite7kimi, there is also a 320-bit version of this GPU, apparently for desktops. It has a 256-bit interface, which shows GeForce RTX3080 Ti Laptop GPU will carry either 8GB or 16GB memory configuration.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is not the fastest in terms of performance, but this may be because there are no final drivers available to the laptop manufacturers. In this case, the laptop was manufactured by HP as a part of its OMEN gaming series.

Intel Core i7 12700H

NVIDIA is now expected to launch its new GeForce RTX 30 Mobile GPUs around CES 2022. At the time when AMD and Intel will launch their next-generation laptop CPU series (Ryzen 6000 and Intel 12th Gen Core).
