NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Tested with Resizable BAR

Yesterday, Videocardz reported that Chinese manufacturers GALAX and Gainward have started selling the first batch of GeForce RTX 3090/3080/3070 and 3060 Ti graphics cards with the Resizable BAR support. Shockingly, within 24 hours, users have tested the performance of the RTX 3090 with the ReBAR support enabled.

NVIDIA has announced that the RTX 3060 is the first card to support the Resizable Bar technology, and no BIOS update is required to enable the technology since the technology is already enabled. However, to use the Resizable Bar in other cards, a BIOS upgrade is required. Moreover, NVIDIA confirmed that their Founders Edition cards will receive BIOS updates by the end of March. The month is about to end, and yet there is no BIOS update, fortunately GALAX has released some tools for the same purpose.

Someone at Chiphell has already tested the -tool with an unspecified RTX 3090 model. wesleyxy’ claimed that software can enable ReBAR on any RTX3090, irrespective of its brand.

NVIDIA has announced that initially, only very few games support this technology on RTX 3060 including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Battlefield V, Borderland 3, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Metro Exodus, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Watch Dogs Legion. A Chiphell member has tested all 6 of these games.
