The OCZ Platinum DDR3-1333 Low Voltage 4GB kit sports OCZ’s beautifully platinum plated XTC Z3 heatspreaders. The XTC heatspreaders are designed to allow airflow in and around the heatspreaders and around the memory chips for enhanced cooling. The platinum heatspreaders are so shiny that I usually have problems photographing them, but for some reason this time they turned out pretty well.
The memory is tested to run at DDR3-1333 with timings of 7-7-7-20. Of course all of this happens at 1.65v. The memory is optimized for Intel’s P55 chipset, for LGA 1156 Core i7 and Core i5 processors.
There are lots of low voltage dual channel kits out there with faster speeds, but even with the lower speed, CAS latency of 7 will get the user some good performance.
