Testing – ATTO & Anvil Storage Utilities
Our first benchmark is ATTO Disk Benchmark which measures transfer rates across specific lengths. ATTO uses RAW data, our transfer sizes ranged from 0.5 to 8192kb. ATTO is usually our definitive benchmark for hard drives. This is a test that uses the same chunk of data over and over again so you will not see increased performance if you run this test many times over.
Up next is Anvil Storage Utilities, which is a really great piece of testing software. The SSD benchmark gives you scores for both read and write as well as a combined score.
We used Anvil’s threaded I/O test to benchmark IOPS. The block size was set at 4k and the queue depth was set at 32.
