Testing – ATTO Disk Benchmark & CrystalDiskMark
Next up we have ATTO Disk Benchmark that measures transfer rates across specific lengths.
All of the results here are very close, within 5MB/s of each other so you really cannot call one drive a definitive winner. The Vertex 2 3.5-inch drive topped out at 279MB/s read and 271MB/s write.
CrystalDiskMark is our next test and it has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test.
The results here are very close as well, although the Vertex 2 3.5-inch write results are much lower than the 2.5-inch version.
OCZ players available in the market as 3.5-inch versions, with two vertex 2 and Agility 2 Solid state drives have been released. They announcing new design of the newly designed 3.5-inch version of the second vertex.
