ORIGIN RestoMod Limited Edition PC Brings Back Old Memories With a Fake Floppy Drive

Origin has announced their new retro PC, Limited Edition RestoMod PC. It surely looks like an old PC but features the latest hardware inside. The Limited Edition RestoMod PC features a beige paint job along with the mock CD and floppy drive. The PCs configuration can be customized using the Origin PC’s configuration tool.

The casing of the RestoMod PC is a revamped version of the Corsair 4000D PC case. The only difference between the two cases is the design. Mock CD and floppy drives are located on the front panel. Apart from this, both the cases share the same number of ports, single USB 3.1 Type-C and a single USB 3.0 port and the same Mid-ATX form factor for improved airflow and easy cable management.

The base configuration of the RestoMod PC features an Intel Core i5-10400 CPU paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. The base configuration also features the Corsair H100i PRO XT RGB to keep the processor cool. As far as the technical specs of the parts are concerned, the Core i5-10400 features six cores and 12 threads. It also features a base clock speed of 2.9Ghz and boost clock speed of up to 4.0 GHz. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 T features 1,536 CUDA cores and a memory speed of 12 GB/s. The Graphic cards lack Ray Tracing, but it can provide relatively good performance as it features a boost clock speed of up to 1,770 MHz.

The base configuration is priced at $2072. It can be customized with Core i9-10980XE processor paired with an NVIDIA 24 GB GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card and 128 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. This configuration will cost you $6,131.
