Installation & Usage
The first part of installation is getting your phone inside of the charging case and it cannot be easier. The bottom part of the case sort of slides down. This allows room for the phone to get inside of the case. Place your phone in the case with the top end first as shown in the photo below.
Next put down the rest of the phone so it looks like how I have it in the phone below.
Finally go ahead and slide up the lightning connector into the phone and you are good to go, it really is that simple!
You can place the charging stand anywhere you like really, but make sure it is close enough to an outlet. Patriot does include a USB to microUSB cable, but no wall adapter. It is easy enough to use the wall adapter that came with your device though. Once you have the charging stand connected to power just place your phone on it and you will see it will start charging! The magnetic force is actually quite strong too and your phone will actually “snap” to the charging stand.
I really like this setup because it allows me to still see important messages, the time, etc when I am working. Typically I would have my phone just sitting on my desk and I would generally miss messages if I didn’t see them right away.
You also have the ability to move the phone into landscape mode and it will still continue to change and be held into place. This is great for watching media.
The car mount is just as easy to set up. I decided to mount it on my dashboard. So just remove adhesive backing and place it where you want it. Then use the locking mechanism to secure it. Plug in the USB car adapter and connect the supplied USB to microUSB cable to the magnetic charging transfer pad. Now you can just place your phone on the transfer pad and it will “snap” into place not only charging your phone, but holding it securely too.
Here is a shot of the device from the drivers view, you can see I have a clear view of the map on my phone.
