Patriot PXD Portable Solid State Drive Overview
The Patriot PXD is a little bit different form-factor wise than many of the other portable solid state drive’s we’ve taken a look at. It has more of a “candybar” shape. It has official dimensions of 4.05′ x 1.24′ x 0.38′ (LxWxH).
To give you an idea of the size of the drive here is it next to a normal can of soda.
The drive has an aluminum body, which sort of has a dark teal color too it, close to gunmetal, but not quite there. On the top of the drive there is a big PXD logo and it lets us know the capacity, which is 2TB. Patriot offers the drive in 512GB and 1TB versions as well. Flipping over to the back there is a large Patriot logo.
On the end of the drive there is a single USB-C connection and a small activity LED. If you don’t have a Type-C connection on your PC don’t worry Patriot includes a Type-C to Type-A cable with the drive.
