Lighting & Software
When you power your system on you’ll notice the RGB LEDs on the memory light up. Now by default the memory will run its “Viper” preset. If you want to customize the lighting you’ll have to either download the Viper software or use your motherboard’s RGB software. Patriot Viper RGB memory will work with ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI RGB software.
The Viper software is pretty simple. It will allow you to select different lighting effects, colors, brightness, and speed of the selected lighting effect. You also have the ability to save up to 5 profiles.
There are 5 RGB LEDs per module and they are BRIGHT! They definitely fill up the diffuser. It is also pretty cool that the eyes of the Viper head on the side of the modules light up too.
