Patriot Viper RGB 32GB DDR4-3600 MHz Memory Kit Review

Final Thoughts

Not much has really changed from the Viper RGB memory we reviewed back in 2018 to this kit. That is not to say this is not a good kit, it is actually one of the better kits we’ve reviewed in term of performance and overclocking protentional. This kit scored second in our comparison testing, only behind Patriot’s own Viper Steel 4400 MHz memory! This kit had much more overclocking headroom than our original kit as well. We were easily able to bring this kit up from its XMP profile setting of 3600 MHz to 4000 MHz without touching the timings or voltage, which is very impressive.

The overall design of the modules is attractive and the RGB lighting is the real star. The 5 RGB LEDs on the memory are some of the brightest I’ve seen, even through the diffuser. Viper has their own software that works with the memory or you can use your motherboard’s RGB software. Viper RGB will work with ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI RGB software.

Patriot offers Viper RGB from 8GB all the way up to 32GB kits from 2666 MHz all the way up to 4133 MHz. The PVR432G360C7K (32GB 3600 MHz) kit that we took a look at today is selling at our favorite online retailer for $174.99. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Patriot Viper RGB 32GB DDR4-3600 MHz Memory Kit a 9 out of 10 score.
