Patriot Viper RGB 16GB DDR4-3000 Memory Kit Review

Overclocking
Overclocking on the Intel Z370 platform is pretty easy. The easiest way to overclock would be up simply change the frequency divider in the BIOS. To achieve the best overclock we try to stay with the timings that the XMP profile recommends. If we run into any issues we will bump up the voltage to see if we can get our system to boot and become stable.

The XMP profile puts this kit at 3000 MHz. In the BIOS I started moving up the frequency divider without changing the timings or voltage. We made it up to 3200 MHz no problem at all! Completely stable with no adjustments to voltage or timings!

Now we tried to go up to 3333 MHz, but this memory did not seem to budge. We even moved the voltage up to 1.40V and still the system was unstable. A 200 MHz overclock is not bad, but we expected a little more out of these modules.
