PNY Duo Link USB 3.2 Flash Drive Review

Final Thoughts

As I said in the beginning of this review if you are a PC user and you use an iPhone you know how much of a pain it is to transfer files from your iPhone to your PC. On top of that if you are using your iPhone as a content creator the workflow is just horrible. That is why a product like the Duo Link from PNY can be so useful and save you quite a lot of time. Previously I would have to either take time to pull files from my iPhone to my PC or upload them to Dropbox. Then download them, edit my footage in Adobe Premiere, then upload it back to Dropbox and re-download it on my iPhone. Now with the Duo Link I offload and reload my footage using the flash drive and it just makes things so much faster.

Even if you are not a content creator the Duo Link will save you time transferring and backing up photos and videos from your iPhone. If you’ve ever direclty connected your iPhone to your PC you know what I’m talking about. You don’t want to go looking through a bunch of folders for that picture you took two months ago. Also iPhones have a set amount of storage so having the Duo Link around means you get more storage for your device, which definitely comes in handy if say you are on vacation and don’t want to miss capturing the moment because you are out of space.

I do think that the DUO Link 4 iOS app needs some work. While it gets the job done it is not all that intuitive at all and there were multiple times it completely crashed on me. I think if PNY worked on this app and made it better this could really be a powerful product.

Right now you can pick up the 128GB version of the Duo Link for $37.79 at our favorite online retailer. Overall ThinkComputers gives the PNY Duo Link USB 3.2 Flash Drive an 8 out of 10 score.
