Porsche Unveils 165-Inch Folding MicroLED TV

Courtesy of the Australian firm C-Seed, we are now seeing the massive, extravagant 165 inches folding TV which comes with microLED technology. The new M1 165 turns even more impressive when switched on, all thanks to the mastermind of Porsche Design Studio. One of the first and major concerns anyone would bring up would be the size of this massive TV. However, thanks to the trapdoor which the TV disappears into, the overall unit isn’t going to take up much space in your living room.

If you are interested in a more detailed immersive demo, you should check out the video released by the firm. The video showcases the magical transformation and the self-deployment of the M1 165. This is without a doubt the most extraordinary piece of television we have seen. Let us look at a few specs to determine if the TV is as good from the inside as it is on the outside.

The 165 inches 4K screen resolution comes with a pixel pitch of 0.9 and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The viewing angle is 170 degrees and nowhere is the image dispersion distorted thanks to the HDR10+ color spectrum of 64 billion. Considering that one would be a making a hefty purchase with this TV, we feel that there is little information on in-depth display quality or the gamut stats. The product brief and the official product page both have limited information on quality specifications. Considering it’s a 4K display and 165 inches in size, the individual pixels are almost 1 mm in size. There is tough competition for the C-Seed M1 165 since LG and Samsung are both focused on moving their premium customers towards 8K resolution and they are doing this in smaller screen sizes.

As a lot of you would have already predicted, the pricing sure is a head spinner. The C-Seed M1 165 costs a whopping 400,000 USD. This sure is a crazy purchase to make, while you can get Porsche sports cars for half the price.
