Raidmax RX-1000AE Overview
The Raidmax RX-1000AE is your typical ATX power supply and is not overly flashy and does not particularly stand out. The unit is all black and is semi-modular, meaning that there are some cables connected to the unit and the rest of your cables will be modular.
As far as the cables that are connected to the power supply you have the 24pin ATX connector, 8pin CPU connector and a dual 6+2pin PCI-Express connector. All of the cables are sleeved all the way up into the power supply and there is a plastic protection ring around the opening. This is ensure that you won’t rip or tear your cables.
All of the modular connections are on the front of the unit and are labeled. This makes it easy to know where to connect your cables.
Each side of the unit has a small set of ventilation holes towards the back. One side has a sticker on it that gives you your input / output graph and other information on the unit.
The back of the unit has a honeycomb design to help with cooling and airflow. On the back you will also find the power button and power connection.
Finally on the bottom of the unit you will find the 135 mm cooling fan. Raidmax says that this fan will be almost silent when in operation.
