Raijintek Iris 12 RGB Fans Review

Raijintek Iris 12 RGB Fans Overview
Compared to the AURAS 12 fans, Raijintek has really improved on the Iris 12 design. The fans have a black frame, but the front part of the fan frame is a diffused white in an “O” shape. Embedded in this frame are your RGB LEDs. We are not sure just how many RGB LED’s are in there, but more than the 4 that were on the AURAS 12 fans.

Each 120 mm fan will run between 800 and 1800 RPM with a max air flow of 42.17 CFM, max air pressure of 1.7 mmH2O, and max noise level of 26.5 dBA. On the corners of the fan frame are rubber sections, which will cut down on fan noise and vibration.

Attached to each fan you’ll find two cables, a typical 4-pin PWM fan header and a proprietary 4-pin RGB header that is made to be used with the included controller. Raijintek does not include any type of cables that would enable you to daisy-chain the fans together, so each has to run back to the controller.

The included controller is for RGB control only. It has 6 total 4-pin connections so you can control up to 6 fans with the controller. There is double-sided tape attached to the bottom to make mounting easy. The controller is powered via Molex, which seems a bit dated, a SATA power connection would have been better.

With the controller is a RF remote that will allow you to control the RGB effects, adjust colors, and turn the RGB lights on and off.
