Final Thoughts on the SAMA V62 PC Case

So this being my first real look at a SAMA PC case I wasn’t sure what to expect. There were definitely some things I really like about this case, but at the same time it does fall short in some aspects as well.

SAMA has designed the V62 as an aquarium-style PC case and I feel they have pulled it off very well. The front and side of the case are wrapped in tempered glass which gives you a really nice view into your system. The front glass panel is also curved, which gives the case a sleek streamlined look to it. With all of that glass you definitely want to show off your build so SAMA has included seven ARGB fans. These fans look quite good and they even have infinity mirrors on them! The fans are pre-wired to a hub / controller and that controller connects to a button on the front of the case which allows you to easily control the RGB effects of the fans without software. The wiring of these fans was a bit messy and it was a bit of pain to remove the plastic film from each fan.

While this is a pretty compact mid-tower you still have room inside for ATX motherboards (including back-connect motherboards), long graphics cards, full-size power supplies and three hard drives. Installation can be a bit tricky though, for some reason SAMA did not install all of the standoffs on the motherboard tray, and you’ll need to route all of your cables to the bottom of your motherboard before you install it as these connections will be blocked. Also when it comes to the storage bracket on the backside of the case you’ll want to make sure all of your cable routing / organizing is done as once you re-install it you really won’t have access to those cables anymore. Now you may think this is not the biggest deal, but say you need to connect fans or even a USB 2.0 header to your motherboard at the bottom, you’ll have to fully remove your motherboard from the case to do so.

With the seven included fans the performance of the case is good and of course you still have room for 3 more fans or a 360mm AiO in the top of the case. The included fans are PWM fans which is definitely worth mentioning as sometimes brands don’t use PWM fans to cut costs.

Talking about cost this case is currently selling at our favorite online retailer for $124.99, which is a very good price considering you are getting those seven included ARGB fans with the hub / controller. This case just does not have the fit and finish that we see from other well-known brands. If you can get over some of the headaches that we experienced during our installation I feel you’ll be happy with the value this case brings. Overall ThinkComputers gives the SAMA V62 PC Case a 7 out of 10 score.

  1. Sorry, not for me. I’ve given up on AIOs for now so only cases wide enough to hold a Noctua D15 G2 168mm cooler for me. Also, no sign that they are selling additional fans to match the included fans so the top won’t match. And I’m not really excited about fans with mirror hubs because of all the jiggling.
