Seagate Technology Holdings have recently revealed their new family of Star Wars Beskar Ingot Drives. This is a project done in collaboration with Lucasfilm to bring creative designs inspired by the Star Wars franchise to the new line of PC gaming storage devices.
According to the reports, the first release in this project commemorates the legends of the Star Wars Mandalorian galaxy. These drives bring the famous Star Wars “precious metal” aesthetic to the FireCuda series. These new edition designs will be presented in M.2 NVMe, 2.5-inch SATA, and external HDD formats.
These drives will be a must have for all Star Wars fans as the drive looks like an ingot of Beskar and its Imperial stamp is also featured prominently in the lineup.
“We are thrilled to bring unique, iconic designs from one of the world’s most popular franchises to the forefront of every gamer’s battle station,” said Jeff Fochtman, Senior Vice President of Business and Marketing at Seagate Technology. “This collaboration appeals to global audiences including gamers, PC builders, and Star Wars enthusiasts alike.”
It will feature Seagate’s fastest M.2 2280 SSD. The PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD will result in speeds up to nine times faster than SATA-based SSDs. Other features include an elegant heatsink design for excellent installation flexibility. It is manufactured with a slim 2.5-inch form factor. It also features an external HDD, with a customizable RGB LED bar. Moreover, it is lightweight and portable.
The prices are as follows:
•PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 500 GB ($159.99)
•PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 1 TB ($259.99)
•SATA SSD 1 TB ($159.99)
•SATA 2 TB ($269.99)
•External HDD 2 TB ($99.99).
