Rebellion disclosed updates about Sniper Elite 5 where they discussed a new feature for the series; an optional PvP Invasion Mode. It has been inspired by Dark Souls.
This mode features an invading sniper from the Axis sniper which will serve the purpose to kill the Allied sniper. This feature can be activated during cooperative play. During this, the Axis sniper handles both the targets rather than just one, but the rewards are more.
It also comes with some more features. The Axis player can label a fellow Axis soldier NPC to help locate the Allied sniper. In this case, their location will be added to the map.
Moreover, the Allied sniper is capable of using invasion phones to identify the location of the Axis sniper. However, this idea is not free of risks, as extra use of the phones could cause the discovery of Allied sniper’s location.
Sniper Elite 5 franchise is expected to be announced later in 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 4 & 5, Epic, Steam, and Windows Store.
