Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Case Review

Final Thoughts
It seems many companies are going the “value” route this year, coming out with cases that are very functional, but at the same time will not break the bank. We’ve already seen 2 cases from NZXT like this and it’s good to see Thermaltake doing the same. The V3 Black Edition is the perfect case for a budget build or even a nice LAN system since it is so small. Installation is very easy and even though it is so small you are able to fit a normal ATX motherboard inside without any issues.

This case does have some faults though. First I do not like that Thermaltake only included one tool-less mounting system for both the hard drives and optical drives. Next if you are going to have a system with large video cards like the 4870 X2 that we installed into the system you are going to run into some issues with them fitting if you have more than 2 hard drives in the case.

When it’s all said and done Thermaltake has done a good job with the V3 Black Edition. It is very affordable and I’m not sure where you are going to find another Thermaltake case that’s under $50. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Case an 8 out of 10 score and our Good Value Award.
