A Closer look at the TRYX HOLO ARGB 360?Z

Currently TRYX is offering the HOLO ARGB 360 in both a white and black version, they sent us over the black version. Like many of their other coolers this HOLO will only be available in a 360mm size.

When it comes to the radiator TRYX is making use of a 27-inch thick radiator. While TRYX does not specifically list the fin density, they did use a fin density of 20 on their PANORAMA SE ARGB 360 so we can expect similar here. This tight fin density is able to provide adequate surface area.

Exiting the radiator from one end are the cooling lines, which are 420mm long. These connect to the radiator via crimped connectors.

Attached to the radiator is a 360mm single-frame fan array rather than three separate fans. This not only makes installation easier, but also cuts down on cable clutter, as the entire array connects with a single 4-pin PWM cable and 3-pin ARGB cable. The three 120 mm fans operate between 500 and 2100 RPM, providing up to 70.8 CFM of airflow and 2.98 mmAq of static pressure. TRYX is also using its SLF bearing design, which is designed to reduce operating noise and improve the overall lifespan of the fans. Of course, you also get integrated ARGB lighting, which should pair nicely with the HOLO’s holographic display.

Unlike many other coolers where the pump block and display are a single piece you’ll first just find the pump block assembly. TRYX is making use of a next-generation Asetek pump here. The pump operates between 800 and 2800 RPM and connects to your motherboard through a 4-pin PWM cable, allowing its speed to be monitored and controlled. On the side of the pump block are two swivel fittings that allow the tubes to be repositioned during installation, making it easier to route them cleanly while reducing unnecessary bends or pressure on the connections.

Taking a look at the bottom of the pump block, we find a large copper cold plate that measures roughly 55 x 55 mm, giving it plenty of surface area to cover modern Intel and AMD processors. You’ll find pre-applied thermal paste on the bottom of the pump block, which I find very helpful, especially for first time builders.

The actual holographic display itself is its own piece that gets mounted on the pump block after installation. Made of aluminum alloy, it has a sort of square design with industrial styling and a TRYX logo towards the top. This holographic display makes use of a professional-grade beam-splitting lens to project content inside the enclosure, creating the illusion that the image is floating above the pump block with actual depth. The entire display section is mounted on an adjustable hinge and can be tilted up to 60 degrees, making it easy to find the best viewing angle once the cooler is installed inside your case. We’ll show you the display in just a little bit. The display connects to your motherboard via a USB 2.0 header cable.
