Valve Announces “Danger Zone” Battle Royale Mode For CS:GO and Goes Free To Play

Valve has updated their very popular 2012 title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with a battle royale mode called “Danger Zone”. In this mode the maximum number of players is cut down to 18, which is quite far off from the 100 of Fortnite, but is designed so each match lasts at most 10 minutes.

Saving hostages has been added into this mode as a way for players to make money, which they can use to purchase weapons etc.

Valve has also made the game free to play now, waiving the normal cost of $15 for the game.
