Final Thoughts on the Womier WD75 Mechanical Keyboard

When I first got this keyboard in to review I was really excited to test it out, but after I’m done with this review it is going to be replaced. That is not to say that this is not a good keyboard, but with its limitations it is not for me. First let’s talk about what I really like about this keyboard…

It is made of real wood! There are not a ton of real wood keyboards out there so that gives this keyboard a really unique look and feel! Matched with the green translucent keycaps you really get those earthy tones so even without the RGB lighting on this keyboard is going to look awesome on your desk.

The keyboard is quite comfortable to type on and with the added sound dampening you are going to have a really good sound profile. I will say that the translucent keycaps may feel a bit weird to type on if you are used to something like a rougher PBT keycap. The south-facing RGB lighting on the switches looks awesome of course thanks to those translucent keycaps.

My biggest issue with this keyboard is that I cannot reprogram it. Womier says that the keyboard is compatible with VIA but I cannot get the keyboard to work with VIA. Not only on the web app, but also using the standalone program. I’ve used VIA with multiple keyboards in the past so this is incredibly disappointing if you wanted to change any of the keys on the keyboard or setup macros for gaming.

Also since we do have translucent keys keycaps they are going to show shine quite a lot. I felt like I was constantly wiping down the keyboard to keep it clean.

This keyboard is currently selling at our favorite online retailer for $89.99, which you can’t complain about. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Womier WD75 Mechanical Keyboard a 7 out of 10 score.
