We got a sneak peak of these CPU coolers at Computex earlier this year and now Zalman has finally released the CNPS20X and CNPS17X CPU coolers. Zalaman’s line of CNPS (computer noise prevention system) coolers are typically among the company’s best. The CNPS20X is the big boy out of the two sporting a dual-tower design as well as two included fans.
The CNPS17X is very similar to the CNPS20X, except it is just a single-tower cooler with one included fan. The fans on both coolers are Zalman’s own RGB-lit ZM-SF140. This is a 140 mm fan with split-blade impellers designed to increase airflow. The fans spin between 800 and 1500 RPM, pushing up to 63 CFM of air, with a noise output between 16.5 dBA to 28 dBA.
The frame of the fan forms an “X” and you’ll find RGB LEDs on this section of the fan. Both of the coolers feature a section of pure copper fins in the center of each heatsink stack. Both coolers are 160 mm tall and support all major sockets including AMD, LGA115x, and LGA2066. The CNPS20X is rated for thermal loads up to 300W, while the CNPS17X is rated for thermal loads up to 200W.
