Apple has major upgrades planned for the upcoming year, one being the treatment of previously Intel chip dependent 27-inch iMac Pro with Apple’s custom chip. The much anticipated upgraded version of the 27-inch iMac Pro will hit the shelves in the first half of the year 2022.
According to DigiTimes, the 27-iMac Pro with a mini-LED display will be produced in limited numbers. The detailed specifications are not out yet but it is expected that the 27-inch iMac Pro with a mini-LED display will launch in the first half of 2022. In addition, the new report is in line with Ross Young who is very reliable when it comes to rumors related to display.
The mini-LED panel will be equipped with a 120Hz ProMotion display. Thanks to the variable refresh rate, iMac Pro owners will be able to enjoy a fluid user experience. @dylandkt has revealed that the design of the upcoming 27-inch iMac pro will resemble that of the 24-inch iMac but with a slightly darker color scheme. The chipset will be upgraded from Intel to Apple’s M1 Max chips and M1 Pro chips, promising much better performance. The same chipset can be seen in the latest 16 and 14-inch MacBook Pro models.
