Intel’s Top Z87 Motherboard Pictured

Normally you do not hear much about Intel’s own motherboard line. This is due to the fact that it really is not all that impressive and companies like ASUS and Gigabyte market their products a whole lot better. Intel has already announced it is going to back out of the consumer motherboard business, but that has not stopped them from creating boards for the upcoming “Haswell” platform. Below you see their DZ87KL-75K, which is their top enthusiast board for the upcoming Haswell Z87 Lynx Point platform.

The board is of course based on the Z87 chipset, supports up to 32GB of DDR3 memory up to 2400 MHz, has three PCI Express 3.0 slots, three PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, a legacy PCI slot, supports Thunderbolt, has 8 SATA 6GB/s ports, 8 USB 3.0 ports, and 10 channel HD audio.

Since Intel has said they are pulling out of the motherboard market this could be the last enthusiast board we ever see from them.
