Almost a month ago, on January 17th, the RTX 4070 SUPER was introduced, offering a speedier option compared to its non-SUPER version. The intention was not to replace the older model, but rather for both variants to coexist in the market. NVIDIA chose to place the RTX 4070 SUPER within the same MSRP range as its predecessor, while the original version received an official price reduction.
The official price reduction for the RTX 4070 non-SUPER was somewhat a formality, considering the card had been available for around $530 for several weeks before the updated model’s launch. Board partners are now grasping that the $599 price tag for the RTX 4070 SUPER might not be as “super” as initially thought.
ZOTAC has taken the initiative to adjust prices for their model, becoming the first brand to do so. The non-overclocked version of the Twin Edge is now available in the US market at $589, indicating a $10 reduction. It is worth mentioning that this price adjustment pertains specifically to this model and is restricted to two retailers.
