We are slowly rolling out our reviews of new Intel Z890-based motherboard and next on the test bench is the MSI MPG Z890 Carbon WiFi. While many enthusiasts are not all that excited about the processors that these motherboards support, the motherboards themselves are loaded with features and look great! This board sits in MSI’s MPG series, which is right below their top of the line MEG series. Positioned for performance gaming the MPG Z890 Carbon WiFi features a 20+1+1 power phase design with 110A power stages, five M.2 slots, Thunderbolt 4, tool-less installation and removal for multiple components, WiFi 7, 5G LAN, and much more! Let’s get to testing this board and see what it is all about!

Opening the box up and getting everything out as far as accessories go you’ll find two SATA cables, ARGB extension cable, 1 to 2 RGB extension cable, EZ front panel cable, 1 to 3 EZ connection cable, WiFi antenna, M.2 Clip II remover, M.2 Clip II, a set of cable stickers, a quick installation guide, and a USB drive with your drivers and manual on it.
