Back-connect motherboards keep getting more and more popular, especially considering pretty much every new PC case has been designed to fit them. These type of motherboard are ideal for people who are looking for the cleanest build possible as all of your connectors are on the back of the board and cable routing is done back there so it does not really show. ASUS of course calls their back-connect motherboards BTF and today we are checking out the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF Motherboard. This board is essentially the same feature-wise as the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero board that we took a look at back in October of last year, but of course we have the connectors on the back and a little bit different styling. You are still going to get a 22+1+2+2 power phase design, six M.2 slots, dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, WiFi 7, both 5G and 2.5G LAN, and DDR5 support with NitroPath DRAM technology. It is really great to see a high-end BTF motherboard from ASUS so let’s take a look!
Special thanks to ASUS for providing us with the ROG Maximus Z890 Hero BTF Motherboard to review.
