Recently, we have seen an explosion in the number of AIOs that feature high-resolution LCD displays on their pump housings. It’s now commonplace to see offerings of large screens, curved screens, and more replacing LED lighting accents and plain pump housings altogether. Xastra has taken a bit of a different approach with their ASTRA LZ360 ARGB. This AIO eschews modern, high-resolution imagery for a retro, low-resolution kick of nostalgia via ARGB LED matrix displays on the pump housing and fan bodies. This design language sets the ASTRA LZ360 ARGB out from the pack. Can this assortment of retro styling, paired up with a 360mm radiator and three 120mm fans sway you away from a more traditional modern AIO? Let’s get moving and find out!

Special thanks to Xastra for providing the ASTRA LZ360 ARGB BK review sample!

Accessories that come with the ASTRA LZ360 ARGB

In addition to the cooler itself, Xastra has included all of the installation components required for modern AMD and Intel platforms. This hardware bundle includes mounting brackets, fan screws, thermal paste, and some cabling used to connect the fans to the rest of your system. Thankfully, Xastra does provide a printed manual to assist with installation duties. You also get a nice desk mat with Xastra branding visuals.

Additionally, a 14-port fan and LED controller is also included with the AIO. This controller utilizes two SATA power connections for power, and has a breakout cable that connects to your motherboard for PWM monitoring and control, as well as fan ARGB LED control. There is also a cable that connects the controller to a USB 2.0 header for control of the LED displays on the pump housing and fans.

14 7-pin connections line the sides of the controller, which is the most expansion we have ever seen with an included controller. Unfortunately, there are no internal magnets to make installation easier, but Xastra does include an adhesive pad for a more permanent installation option.
