We have seen plenty of panoramic PC cases over the past few years, but MSI’s MEG MAESTRO 900R takes a noticeably different approach to showing off your hardware. This flagship full-tower PC case places the motherboard and graphics card at the center of the chassis, surrounding them with three tempered-glass panels for a view from multiple angles. Its aluminum exterior and elevated base give it a distinctive appearance, but some of its most interesting features are inside. A removable motherboard tray supports four different orientations and doubles as an open test bench, giving builders more flexibility when assembling and configuring their system. There is also support for E-ATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 440 mm long, and dual 420 mm radiators, while three pre-installed 160 mm reverse-blade fans provide bottom intake airflow. MSI even includes a PCIe 5.0 riser cable for vertically displaying your graphics card. The MEG MAESTRO 900R certainly has the features for an ambitious showcase build, but how well do its unusual layout, cooling options, and premium construction come together? Let’s take a look!

Packaging of the MEG Maestro 900R PC Case
The MEG Maestro 900R comes in a very large box so be prepared for that. Unlike most PC case boxes this is one where you have the 4 locks towards the bottom that you remove and pull the top part of the case box off, much like how most TVs are packaged these days. You’ll find the case inside wrapped up to not only to protect the glass, but also the frame of the case.
Inside the case you’ll find your box of accessories. MSI includes a substantial accessory bundle, covering both a conventional case installation and its removable motherboard tray’s test-bench configuration. Along with the mounting screws and standoff tool, you get six reusable hook-and-loop straps, ten cable ties, and ten cable clips to help organize your wiring. Eight PCIe slot covers are provided for alternative expansion-slot configurations, while spare panel-retention clips, gloves, and a cleaning cloth are welcome additions for handling the large glass panels. The test-bench accessories are particularly interesting, including four feet, two radiator brackets, a separate power-and-reset button set, and two T-handle screws for carrying the motherboard tray. MSI also includes a PCIe 5.0 riser cable for vertical graphics card installation, saving you from purchasing one separately.
