A Premium X590 Chipset in the works for Ryzen 3000 Series

We’ve seen many of the upcoming X570 motherboards, and those alone are going to be expensive, but it seems like AMD is working on another premium chipset for their upcoming Ryzen 3000 series processors. This chipset is going to be the X590 and it appears that we will get better I/O with this chipset.

The AMD X590 Premium Chipset

The whole X590 rumors started with a teaser of an ASUS ROG motherboard that said, “X590 Coming Soon”. The teaser and tweet have since been removed. After taking a look at this teaser, it is definitely an ASUS ROG board and it could be the very much anticipated ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme, since we’ve already seen the HERO and Formula boards.

AMD X590 Motherboard

To add fuel to the fire a forum member on the Computerbase forums was able to find existence of the X590 chipset hidden within the BIOS files for X570 motherboards.

AMD X590 BIOS File

According to many people the X590 chipset will offer a much higher number of PCI-Express 4.0 lanes compared to the X570 chipset. Could this be the chipset that AMD plans to market with their upcoming Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core gaming processor?
