Alienware Launches The AW2725QF; A 27″ 4K Gaming Monitor For $599 US

Alienware, a sub-brand of Dell, has introduced a new high-performance 27-inch gaming monitor called the AW2725QF. This monitor is designed for both enthusiast and professional gamers, offering two resolution modes that allow users to select their preferred resolution and refresh rate. It can operate at a resolution of 3840x2160p with a 180Hz refresh rate or at 1920x1080p with a 360Hz refresh rate, providing flexible options to suit different gaming preferences.

In 4K at 180Hz mode, players can enjoy highly detailed visuals with a pixel density of 163 pixels per inch, making it ideal for open-world and visually immersive games. On the other hand, the 1080p at 360Hz mode provides a balanced and competitive experience, offering smoother motion and greater clarity, perfect for professional and experienced gamers who focus on competitive play.

The 4K at 180Hz mode delivers exceptional detail with 163 pixels per inch, making it ideal for visually rich games like RPGs and adventure titles while the FHD at 360Hz mode focuses on motion clarity and speed, making it perfect for fast-paced action games and highly competitive gamers.

The monitor is equipped with an IPS panel that supports true 10-bit color depth, capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors. It has a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a typical brightness of 400 nits, with HDR support pushing the brightness up to 600 nits. The AW2725QF offers a wide color gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 spectrum, with excellent color accuracy (Delta E < 2), making it suitable for both gaming and content creation. With Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR 600 support, the display delivers vivid details, while TUV-certified ComfortView Plus technology allows for extended gaming sessions without straining the eyes.

To give gamers an edge over their opponents, the AW2725QF features an ultra-low response time of just 0.5ms GtG, allowing for rapid frame transitions without ghosting or blurring. The monitor is also NVIDIA G-Sync compatible, which helps reduce screen tearing for a smoother gaming experience.

Console users can benefit from the monitor’s high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port, which supports 4K resolution at up to 120Hz. The monitor also supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and auto low latency mode, providing responsive gameplay for console players. For connectivity, an HDMI eARC port is available for hooking up surround sound speakers or high-fidelity soundbars, enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, the monitor comes with an ergonomic stand that allows for height adjustment up to 110mm, -5°/+21° tilt, -20°/+20° swivel, and -90°/+90° pivot.

The Alienware AW2725QF gaming monitor officially launches today in China and will be available globally starting September 12, 2024, with a suggested retail price of $599.99 USD.
