Alienware Unveils New Gaming Displays AW2724HF And AW2724DM

Dell Technologies has unveiled two new 27-inch LCD displays as part of their Alienware gaming brand. The first model, called “AW2724HF,” is a high-end display offering a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 (QHD) and a refresh rate of 180Hz. It boasts VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, ensuring high contrast and vibrant images with a delta E correction of less than 2. The “AW2724HF” also features a cinema-grade 95% DCI-P3 color gamut for accurate and realistic color representation. It incorporates advanced technologies such as NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and VESA AdaptiveSync to deliver smooth gameplay experiences. Moreover, it includes ComfortView Plus with low blue light screen technology, reducing eye fatigue during extended gaming sessions.

The second model, called “AW2724DM,” shares many of the high-end features of the “AW2724HF.” It also offers a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 and a refresh rate of 180Hz. The “AW2724DM” is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and provides a delta E correction of less than 2 for high-contrast images. It boasts a cinema-grade 95% DCI-P3 color gamut for accurate color representation. To ensure smooth gameplay, it incorporates NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and VESA AdaptiveSync technologies. Additionally, it includes ComfortView Plus with low blue light screen technology to minimize eye fatigue during long gaming sessions.

The “AW2724DM” display utilizes a Fast IPS panel type, delivering a brightness of 600cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. It boasts a rapid response speed of 1ms (GtoG) and offers a wide horizontal/vertical viewing angle of 178° each. In terms of connectivity, it provides multiple interface options, including one HDMI 1.4, two DisplayPort 1.4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (downstream), and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port (upstream). The external dimensions of the monitor measure 611.44 mm in width, 243.71 mm in depth, and 408.68 mm in height.

In contrast, the “AW2724HF” is a full HD (1,920 x 1,080) display that offers an impressive refresh rate of 360Hz. It excels in delivering a highly realistic visual experience with its sRGB 99% color gamut. Just like the “AW2724DM,” the “AW2724HF” supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology and holds VESA AdaptiveSync certification. It also incorporates ComfortView Plus, which effectively reduces blue light exposure. Geared towards competitive gaming, it showcases the Legend 2.0 ID design, which includes a hexagonal base, a retractable headset hanger, an adjustable stand, and a centralized OSD joystick for easy control and customization.

The “AW2724HF” shares the same panel type, brightness, contrast ratio, response speed, and viewing angle as the “AW2724DM.” It offers identical specifications in these aspects. The interface options available for the “AW2724HF” include one HDMI 1.4, two DisplayPort 1.4, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (downstream), and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port (upstream). In terms of external dimensions, it measures 611.44 mm in width, 243.71 mm in depth, and 408.68 mm in height.

The “AW2724HF” is currently priced at $399 and is readily available for purchase. On the other hand, the “AW2724DM” is priced slightly higher at $459.
