AMD Radeon 200, 300 and Fury Series Cards Are No Longer Supported

Some users immediately downloaded AMD’s latest 21.6.1 drivers which also included FidelityFX Super Resolution. However, it was a shock to know that AMD no longer supports Fury, 200, and 300 series cards.

AMD’s official blog post confirmed that AMD has retired a large number of its graphics cards. The support termination starts with Adrenalin 21.6.1 drivers and the Radeon 200 and 300 will no longer be supported as they have been transferred to the legacy section.

This means that the latest version with support for these cards is 21.5.2. In the blog, AMD mentioned that no future driver releases are planned which makes it unclear if AMD still has the intention to fix the important security issues which might come up in the future.

Moreover, AMD also announced that they will end support for its 10-year-old Radeon HD 7000 HD 8000 series which came a year after. Similarly, the Radeon 200 was also released in 2013 while its refreshed version was released in 2014. The Fury series whose support is now terminated was released in 2015.
