AOC And Porsche Partners Up For A 32-Inch 4K 144Hz Mini LED Gaming Monitor

In a very interesting collaboration, AOC and Porsche Design get their heads together one more time to present to us the gorgeous 31.5 inches gaming monitor. The Agon Pro PD32M is extremely bright and well built and it has been specifically designed for high octane gaming. What sets apart the monitor is its mini-LED technology which enables the monitor to reach its peak brightness.

The mini-LED technology isn’t something entirely new. It has recently started to make a meaningful mark on the market. The first one on the mini-LED train was Samsung when it hit it off with its Neo QLED televisions. And then we saw many others jumping the bandwagon at the CES this year. Those of you who are wondering what this mini-LED technology really is, need to know that just as the name implies, these are small LEDs only slightly bigger than a pixel itself. Using this technology serves many benefits. For starters, it provides the potential to light up the display and make it brighter than the traditional LEDs. Another advantage is the finer grain control over lighting up and darkening certain parts of a scene. This is made possible with dynamic lighting zones which are also called full array local dimming (FALD). The term is pretty much self-explanatory. The FALD helps to make the image appear better with reduced blooming.

The display is DisplayHDR 1400 certified and features a couple of HDMI 2.1 ports. This means that the display also comes with a variable refresh rate (VRR) support and consequently becomes a good option for both PC and console gaming. There is also a DisplayPort , along with a USB Type-C port, and four USB 3.2 ports.

You can pre-order the Agon Pro PD32M for $1,799.99 from Porsche Design and it will be available to order from Amazon by Q4 this year.
